I have been working with Glass for 45 years. My specialties are the assembly of new original  stained glass windows. The  repair and restoration of windows and lamps  that need TLC to bring them  back to their original glory.  Glass Mosaic which allows me to use glass, instead of paint, to create beautiful and interesting wall art and Fused Glass, kiln work.  Fused glass is the most interesting work.  The affects that heat and layers can create is amazing, then add glass embellishments, and you have one amazing art piece. I particularly like fusing because the weird and unpredictable can be a wonderful surprise.   A very important aspect of working with glass is teaching others.  If one remembers glass has been an art form for over 300 years.  Stained Glass windows are still vibrant in churches around the world.   Fused glass can be found in the ruins of Egypt.  Romans used glass and stone in their mosaics.  Knowing traditions and understanding the  foundation of art glass is worth its weight in gold for keeping traditions alive.

I started working with glass, making stained glass sun catchers in 1979. I soon discovered I had a natural aptitude for the art and loved the feeling of completion that came from a finished piece.  In 1980, I completed a one year apprenticeship with a top rated glass artist in Incline Village.  It was a wonderful learning experience.  I realized not all stained glass is beautiful.   The beauty of a stained glass window includes the quality of soldering, structure, glass used and cleaning.  In 1980, TRRitz was established.  My friend and I opened a stained glass studio in Truckee. We created many beautiful, high quality, well constructed custom stained glass windows until the birth of my first child in 1987 and later twins in 1988. In 1990 I moved my family to Livermore, where I worked at home part time on custom windows.  I also, began another apprenticeship with European Art Glass, in Scotts Valley. During my time there I worked primarily repairing and restoring church windows.  My work can be seen in churches in Watsonville, San Jose, San Francisco and the Peninsula.  I continued with custom work while my children were growing up.  As an empty nester, my children were away at college.  They lived and worked where they went to college.  The big question, now what? What do I do next?  What am I good at?  What do I know?  I know glass.  I know stained glass is engineered art.  I know quality work.  I do quality work.  I am an expert in repair and restoration of stained glass windows and lamps.   I know fusing.  I have a kiln, I have glass and tools.  Art Glass Studio was

established in 2008.   It will be 16 years May 1, 2024.  My work is in California, Nevada and Arizona and shipped through out the US, Europe and Asia.
